I’ve been driving for50+ years and my best advice? The further down the road you can see, the safer you will be. A lot of drivers look two or three vehicles ahead of them. That is not enough time to react.

What a superb article! After 45 years behind the “big truck steering wheel”, the stories are all true from the drivers. Been there and done them. I am not proud of having done any of them but thank God, the Father, for His Safety and my learning. “New Drivers” listen up. Please grasp the experience relayed by the writer from the “old schoolers”.

Understanding completely the Jim Park “nuts” story, did Mr. Park ever have any children after “parking” his nuts later in a “female truckstop”? I hope you let my question being printed. Mr. Park is a good man and I just hope his lineage has been able to continue.

Truckers are often forgotten and it’s a shame because we don’t know what we don’t know !
