This segment of the industry can’t handle prosperity. Always competing to the bottom so guys can work in town and sleep in their own beds has created this poverty wage for a certain group of container haulers, and it seems self inflicted, as usual. I’m no fan of regulation but the efficient operation of this segment of our logistical economy is critical.

My brother lives near the Port some companies have been asking for a kickback to get work at the port
We need to check and make sure all drivers are being paid at the port rate that go into the ports. We need to protect these drivers and make sure they are treated and paid correctly

Sounds like these companies prefer indentured slaves instead of professional drivers.
