Shell Rotella fuels charity with votes in virtual SuperRigs contest

Shell Rotella announces its pledge to donate $1 for every vote cast in the People’s Choice Award during the 42nd annual SuperRigs competition up to $5,000 to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund (SCF).

This virtual contest extends the SuperRigs competition to those unable to attend in person, allowing truck drivers across North America to participate by submitting their rigs online. Voting is now open for fans, family, and friends and concludes at 4:00 p.m. CT on May 31st.

“This year, as part of our ongoing commitment to the trucking community, we are pleased to support the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund through our People’s Choice Award,” said Julie Wright, Shell Rotella brand manager, in a news release.

“Each vote not only celebrates the impressive rigs our drivers operate but also contributes directly to this vital organization, assisting with the health and wellbeing of truck drivers across the continent.”

“This collaboration not only highlights the spirit of community within the trucking industry but also provides essential support to our drivers, ensuring they receive the help they need while on the road,” added Shannon Currier, director of philanthropy for St. Christopher.

SuperRigs contest, held at Texas Motor Speedway from May 30th to June 1st, will gather hardworking truckers from across North America to compete for over $25,000 in cash and prizes across various categories. The winners, including the People’s Choice Award recipient, will be celebrated during the awards ceremony on June 1.
